On a regular basis, you can watch and listen to Ismène perform as Jazz singer.
She’s very succesful in The Netherlands and Belgium for many years now as a singer but still she did not yet found her Jazz spot.
Unplugged or in Hifi Ismène played at several occasions. Her own theatre-production “Just Like New York” at the Theater de Kring in Roosendaal was a true highlight. She even got the seated audience dancing with songs from early 1940 played by a Big Band.
But Ismène loves challenges so ‘Material Girl’ (Madonna), for instance, gets a twist of cocktail to it, while rock song ‘Jump’ (Van Halen) suddenly gets that Sinatra-sound. But also other known songs from Sade or Caro Emerald, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald Bare well-off with that special warm accoustic sound. Musicians have an intense interaction with her while they play so Ismène gracefully joins in on them. A celebration of jazzy recollection! Almost intimate but with a strong live performance.
